EastEnders to Get a Mini Makeover for BBC Children in Need — With Lenny Rush Taking Over The Vic
EastEnders is set for a playful transformation this week as the BBC soap joins forces with Children in Need for a one-off special scene that reimagines Walford in a hilarious “mini” makeover.
Lenny Rush Takes Over Walford
To celebrate this year’s BBC Children in Need telethon, airing on Thursday, November 14, EastEnders will temporarily step into a younger, lighter version of itself — complete with child versions of three of its most iconic characters.
BAFTA-winning actor and presenter Lenny Rush, along with the charity’s mascot Pudsey Bear, will lead the sketch inside The Queen Vic, the heart of Albert Square.
For the spoof, three young actors will step into the shoes of Kat Moon, Phil Mitchell, and Billy Mitchell, recreating their characters’ classic chemistry — only with a cheeky twist.
They’ll be joined by EastEnders regulars Shane Richie as Alfie Moon and Jacqueline Jossa as Lauren Branning, setting the stage for what the BBC describes as a “tense scene in true EastEnders style.”
A Comic Scene Full of Drama and Heart
The sketch promises high drama with a comedic touch.
“Tensions run high in The Queen Vic and loaded accusations of misplaced belongings are flung far and wide,” teased the official synopsis.
Fans can expect pint-sized Phil Mitchell attitude, Kat Moon sass, and a hilariously bewildered Billy trying to keep the peace — all wrapped up in a scene bursting with nostalgia and fun for a good cause.
Regular Walford Drama Continues
While the Children in Need special brings laughter, the regular EastEnders episodes this week are taking a darker turn.
Zoe Slater finds herself at the centre of a terrifying stalking storyline that’s shaken the Slater family. In tense scenes set at The Vic, the family discovers a threatening message graffitied in the barrel store — along with a dropped earring that could identify Zoe’s tormentor.
“Kat and Alfie may have had their doubts over Zoe’s claims that someone was out to get them,” an insider revealed, “but the message in the barrel store comes through loud and clear.”

A Blend of Fun and Fear
Between the Children in Need sketch’s charm and the unfolding danger in the main storyline, EastEnders is balancing light and dark perfectly — reminding fans why Walford remains the heart of British television drama.
Tune in on November 14 for the special Children in Need crossover and catch regular episodes on BBC One and iPlayer for all the latest twists in The Vic.
