“I’ll Never Forget This…” — Coronation Street’s Jude Riordan Shares Emotional Message After Leaving Brassic

Coronation Street favourite Jude Riordan has shared a moving message with fans following the conclusion of Brassic, the hit Sky comedy he starred in alongside Michelle Keegan and Joseph Gilgun.

A Young Star Reflects on His Journey

Jude, who has played Sam Blakeman on Coronation Street since 2020, took to Instagram to post a heartfelt tribute as Brassic aired its final episode last month. The actor, now a teenager, has been part of the acclaimed comedy since his early years and described his time on the show as “really GOOD TIMES.”

Sharing behind-the-scenes photos with his Brassic co-stars, including Keegan and series creator Joe Gilgun, Jude reminisced about growing up on set.

“I can remember every day I did on Brassic,” he wrote. “However much fun you can imagine it would be — times that by ten. Grew up with the greats. From sitting at the Liverpool docks running lines with everyone in different accents to many hours driving to France, to the best bacon butties, crew dogs, and just hanging out with the funniest people. Brassic days were really GOOD TIMES!”

He also joked about the show’s offbeat humor, writing, “I like the funny dog, it’s an owl. Kick him!”

End of an Era for Brassic

Earlier this year, Sky confirmed that the seventh season of Brassic would be its last. The series, co-created by Joe Gilgun (Emmerdale, Misfits) and writer Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless), follows a tight-knit group of working-class friends living in the fictional town of Hawley as they navigate crime, chaos, and camaraderie.

Jude’s character, Tyler Croft, was the son of Michelle Keegan’s Erin Croft. Fans of both Brassic and Coronation Street praised Jude for his natural talent and charm, which made him one of Britain’s brightest young TV stars.

Fans React to Jude’s Goodbye

Jude’s post drew hundreds of emotional comments from fans who were sad to see Brassic come to an end.

“Best show, best cast. Going to miss them,” wrote one follower.
“Loved the programme — gutted it’s finished for good. You’re a great actor, young man,” added another.
A third simply wrote, “Going to miss the show 😢.”

Many also praised Jude for his maturity and gratitude, noting how rare it is for a young actor to show such heartfelt appreciation for their co-stars and crew.NTAs 2021: Coronation Street's Jude Riordan accepts the Best Newcomer Award | Daily Mail Online

From Brassic to the Cobbles

Though Brassic has come to a close, Jude continues to shine on Coronation Street, where his character Sam Blakeman remains a fan favourite. Sam’s emotional storylines — including the devastating loss of his mother Natasha and his bond with his father Nick — have earned Jude critical acclaim and a National Television Award for Best Newcomer in 2021.

With a bright future ahead, Jude Riordan’s touching farewell shows a young actor already grounded in gratitude — and one who’s just getting started.
