Rio Paloma Is Now Casting Extras in Texas

Sheridan’s sequel series, which follows Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they build a new life in Texas, is currently filming in Ferris, Texas. And now, the production team has officially put out a call for extras.

Roles now being cast include:

  • ranch day workers and wranglers

  • Zane’s assistant

  • flight attendants

  • airport bartenders

Filming days run between November 10 and November 17, and all roles are paid daily. For die hard Yellowstone fans, this marks a rare opportunity to appear on screen in Sheridan’s next chapter of the Dutton story.

Sheridan Is Juggling Multiple Productions at Once

Alongside Rio Paloma, Sheridan is also filming Lioness Season 3, the high stakes CIA thriller led by Zoe Saldaña. The show’s renewal came after months of uncertainty, and stunt double casting suggests Season 3 will feature even bigger action sequences.

Saldaña recently confirmed production with a behind the scenes photo, reassuring fans that new episodes are officially underway.Taylor Sheridan's 'Yellowstone' Universe Expands: New Spin-off Reveals Production Strategy Shift - 3DVF

Sheridan’s Future With Paramount Is Changing

In a surprising turn, it has been reported that Taylor Sheridan will gradually exit Paramount over the next few years, fulfilling his contractual commitments by 2028.

Before then, he still has:

  • two more television shows

  • two feature films

in development.

Among them is an original action movie titled F.A.S.T., described as Sicario-esque, and a Call of Duty film adaptation directed by Peter Berg, with Sheridan writing the script.

Sheridan’s Next Series Launches Soon

Fans won’t have to wait long for his next project. Landman Season 2 premieres November 16 on Paramount+.

Marketed as Yellowstone’s “spiritual successor,” the series set records as Paramount’s biggest new show ever. Season 2 brings back Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore, while adding Sam Elliott to the cast.

Andy Garcia’s role will increase, while Jon Hamm is not expected to return.
