A High Pressure Day Turns Into a Trap

George Shuttleworth warned Todd that the funeral of Councillor Drake would be the closest thing Weatherfield ever sees to a state ceremony. The mayor would attend, the whole town would be watching and every detail needed to be perfect. Todd felt the pressure immediately, but he had no idea that someone much closer to him was already plotting to make sure he failed.

While Todd prepared for an early night, Theo was at the Rovers discussing work with Gary Windass. Gary urged him to make peace with Pete Lang, hoping they might pick up future jobs. When Todd and George joined them later, the tension grew. Todd was visibly uncomfortable when he learned Theo was considering working with Pete, the same man Theo had once cheated with.

George reminded Todd once again that the next day was important, then left him to get some rest. Theo had other ideas.
