According to recent reports, Darin Brooks has taken on a new project titled The Roaring Game. In the film, he plays Rickey Rhodes, joining a cast that includes One Tree Hill’s Antwon Tanner and soap veteran John Fiore.

This shift in focus means Brooks isn’t available for regular appearances on B&B. Back in 2024, the actor himself set the record straight, explaining that while he did film a few scenes last year, it was never meant to be a permanent return.

“So far, that’s kind of the extent of it,” Brooks said at the time. “It is what it is. You know, I’ve been in this business a long time and know soaps. I know things change—and stories move.”

A Decade of Memories

Despite stepping away from the spotlight in Los Angeles, Brooks made it clear he still holds The Bold and the Beautiful close to his heart.

“I was there for 10 years,” he said, reflecting on his time at the soap. “It’s like my second family. I’ll never forget what we built there. Brad Bell and the team created an incredible decade for me.”

It’s a respectful goodbye—but not necessarily a forever one.

Will Wyatt Ever Return?
