Emmerdale Star Lisa Riley Wants Jungle Buddy Ruby Wax to Join the Dingles!
Could Ruby Wax be the next iconic addition to the Dingle clan? Lisa Riley thinks so — and fans are loving the idea.
Mandy Dingle Meets Ruby in the Jungle
Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley has sparked major fan speculation after hinting that her I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! campmate, Ruby Wax, could be a perfect fit for the Dingle family.
Riley, beloved for her fiery role as Mandy Dingle, is currently embracing the wild side in the Australian jungle. But during Monday night’s trial (November 24), she couldn’t help but notice something very Dingle-esque in Ruby’s attitude.
Taking part in a messy challenge involving tractors and mystery buckets, Lisa joked, “I’m definitely getting you a job in the Dingle garage!” as Ruby bravely crawled underneath machinery to help win treats for camp.
The comment set social media alight, with Emmerdale fans immediately calling for Ruby Wax to be cast as a new Dingle matriarch — or perhaps a long-lost cousin from overseas?
30 Years of Dingle Madness — and Counting
Lisa Riley, 49, is no stranger to making bold casting predictions — and her enthusiasm is hard to ignore. Earlier this year, the actress celebrated an incredible 30 years since first stepping into Mandy’s Buffalo trainers.
Reflecting on her debut in a heartfelt post, she recalled:
“I wore a bright lime green bodysuit, had something camp and spiked in my hair, double denim (before B*Witched)… ran around the side of the Emmerdale church, flirted, smiled that cheeky smile, and danced to Agadoo expressing true Dingle loyalty.”
She added that the Dingle family motto — “family comes first, second and third” — still fuels her performance today, vowing to bring more “Mandy Madness” for years to come.
Stormy Skies and Emotional Lows in Camp
While the Dingle garage dreams brought humour to Monday’s episode, the mood in camp was anything but dry. A wild storm forced the celebrities to evacuate to the Bush Telegraph, leaving clothes and bedding soaked.
Among those struggling was Angry Ginge, who opened up emotionally in a vulnerable moment.
“It’s a bit of a sh*t day really,” he confessed. “I’m missing home, my family, food and drink too… I suppose it’s just one of my down days.”
The jungle journey continues to test the stars physically and mentally — but moments like Lisa’s light-hearted jab at Ruby show that humour and heart still shine through.
Could Ruby Really Join Emmerdale?
While it’s just banter for now, fans are already imagining Ruby Wax showing up in the Dales — maybe as Mandy’s rebellious aunt from London? Or a cousin with a dark comedic streak?
Lisa’s chemistry with Ruby is undeniable, and the idea of another strong female Dingle is one many fans would love to see become a reality.
Would you want to see Ruby Wax join the Emmerdale family tree? Could Mandy finally find her match in chaos?
