Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) have come home to Salem for a holiday visit, but are they out and about to grab a bite to eat or do some last-minute Christmas shopping?

After having her heart broken by Xander once again, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) has found comfort with Brady (Eric Marstolf), and they have been getting closer and closer over time. Given that they’re outdoors, it’s likely there’s no mistletoe hanging above them, but the pair share a Christmas kiss anyway!

Everyone gathers at the Horton home for the annual tradition of hanging the personalized ornaments on the Christmas tree. After placing Victor’s on a branch, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) hangs her own ornament right next to her late husband’s.

Sarah takes her turn to find a spot for her own bauble and holds that of her daughter, Victoria, in her hand to hang next.

Xander’s ornament sits in the empty box all alone. Will no one hang it for him, or might he stop by to do it himself?

Maggie, Sarah, and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) chat, perhaps sharing fond memories of those who are no longer with them this holiday season.

Julie welcomes back Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), who have returned with Charlotte (Autumn Gendron) and Thomas (Cary Christopher) as promised.

Jack and Jennifer assured the kids that they would come back from Boston as soon as Chad (Billy Flynn) was found, and now that he’s been freed from his captivity in the DiMera crypt, Chad shares an emotional reunion with his children.

The question remains, though, whether Jennifer will change her mind or if she’s still determined to take custody of Thomas and Charlotte away from Chad. Might there be a Christmas miracle?

Amidst the reunions and drama, Jack and Jennifer join JJ (Casey Moss) in putting their family’s ornaments on the Horton tree.

Lucas (Byran Dattilo) is happy to join in the festivities and hang his own decoration among the others.

Eli and Lani smile warmly as they gaze upon their ornaments hanging alongside those of their twins, Carver and Jules. This tradition has continued through all the generations over the decades.

The recently returned Jeremy (Michael Roark) is back in Salem this Christmas to hang his own ornament.

With the tree finally decorated, everyone comes together to take it all in and reflect on what the holiday season means to them.

And this is what everyone’s looking at: the fully-decorated Horton Christmas tree filled with ornaments bearing the names of family members past and present.
