While 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8 star Forrest originally caught fans’ eyes at the start of the season for fully equipping his house with cameras so that his long-distance girlfriend could be in constant contact with him, Forrest has quickly become a fan favorite.

During the December 7 premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, the franchise introduced four of its newest members. While the season will feature Americans traveling to the Philippines, Belize, Turkey, Morocco, Madagascar, Nigeria, and Australia to meet their long-distance loves for the first time IRL, it’s safe to say that one cast member particularly caught our eye.

Of course, this star is Forrest, a Season 8 Before the 90 Days newbie who revealed that he set up 24/7 security cameras in his apartment for his long-distance girlfriend. During the first episode of the season, Forrest gushed about his girlfriend of seven years, Sheena, explained his close relationship with his mom, Molly, and took an awkward visit to a sex shop. However, once he arrived in the Philippines, it became clear that he would do anything to defend Sheena, even if it meant standing up to Molly.

Who is Forrest on Before the 90 Days?

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8 star Forrest is a 32-year-old from The Dalles, Oregon. During the premiere, Forrest revealed that he has autism and ADHD. He revealed, “It can be very hard for me at times to relate to other people.”

Since Forrest hasn’t met his girlfriend of seven years IRL, he set up security cameras in his apartment so that she can have 24/7 access to his daily life. Beyond that, Forrest has fully outfitted his house with tech, making it what he calls “a smart house.” He explained, “I have tons of light bulbs, I have sensors for everything, and to top it off, I have security cameras that my girlfriend, Sheena, pretty much has access to 24/7.” It also appears that his girlfriend can chat with him through the cameras. At one point in the video below, she tells him, “Don’t burn the eggs like last time!”

Who is Forrest’s girlfriend, Sheena?

Forrest is dating Sheena, a 40-year-old from the Philippines. In the promo for Season 8, TLC revealed that Forrest is cautious about “Sheena’s mysterious family,” teasing conflict between his family and hers in the episodes to come. TLC also told viewers that Forrest and Sheena are both virgins, which explains his need to take his mom to the sex shop with him before their departure. Oh, and Forrest’s mom will also be joining him on his trip to the Philippines.

Now that the season has begun, we know a bit more about Sheena. According to the Season 8 star, she is a full-time veterinarian. During her first full day with Forrest and his family, she was excited to tell them a bit about her Chinese heritage and take them to the Philippines’ vibrant Chinatown.

It’s clear that fans are delighted by Forrest and Sheena’s adorable relationship. Following their first IRL meeting, a fan wrote, “The most wholesome first meet on 90 Day Fiancé. I tried to hold back the tears.” Another shared, “I swear this is the only couple I’ve ever seen actually in love on this show.”

Who is Forrest’s mom?

In the trailer, Forrest revealed that his mom, Molly, is traveling with him to the Philippines to stay on high alert for any red flags from his long-distance girlfriend. He told viewers, “My mom is coming with me to meet Sheena, and I’m kind of worried because she does not trust Sheena.” His mom then revealed, “[Sheena] blatantly lied. That pisses me off.” In another preview, which was later shown in the first episode, Forrest’s mom takes him to a sex shop to buy him “lubies” for his trip. Yikes!

During Episode 4, Forrest’s mom went as far as to ask Forrest and Sheena if they had gotten intimate during their first night together. Naturally, Forrest let her know that her question was inappropriate, especially in front of Sheena. Watch that full clip below.

Why are Forrest’s mom and Sheena feuding?

Of course, Forrest and Sheena’s relationship does not come without its own difficulties. Both Forrest and Sheena have made it clear that, in the past, he has sent her money to save for their future together, and she has given the money to her family instead. While Forrest appears to understand the pressure she is under from her family and accepts her apology, his mom does not feel the same way. As Forrest put it, “My mom did not take kindly to Sheena lying about the money again.”

During Episode 4, Forrest’s mom, Molly, confronted Sheena. Sheena broke down her situation, revealing, “The reason why that I happen to give my money to my parents is because being a breadwinner, it’s a cultural thing in my country that we are obligated to help our parents around.” After being pressed about why she lied, Sheena broke down crying, confessing, “I was so scared because my parents, my mom, happened to guilt tripping me from time to time if I don’t give them money. She makes me feel that I’m such a selfish person and it hurts me a lot.”

Sheena later added, “They would say bad things to me, they would say bad things to other people. And it affects me emotionally, mentally, drains me every day, and it makes me feel so bad now.” After Forrest heard Sheena’s explanation, he asked Molly, “What’s your goal here? Just to sit here and keep beating her down? I think what we have to do is we need to get Sheena away from her parents, because ultimately, the root of this nasty tree is the parents.”

When did Forrest and Sheena meet?

Forrest revealed that he met Sheena seven years ago in a social media group, when he was 25, and she was 33. According to Forrest, his mom added him to the social media group during a difficult time in his life. As he put it, “I was skeptical at first, but after joining the group, it was about 35 seconds in, and I saw Sheena’s post. I just commented on it, and everything happened. Sheena started messaging me.” He explained, “I just fell more and more in love with her every single day.”
