Scott Maslen (Jack Branning) and Delroy Atkinson (Howie Danes) spoke exclusively about the show’s current trajectory during the National Television Awards, hinting at epic scenes ahead.

“Listen, with EastEnders, we’re in a good place and it’s taken a while to get here,” he said. “We’ve had ups and downs, but we’ve got a fantastic group of people working together. Not just the actors—it’s everybody. We’ve found a little alchemy and are just reaping the rewards.”
Delroy added, “The trajectory is upwards. There are good times ahead,” while Scott agreed, calling it a “really positive time for every family in the show.” When asked if anything could happen, Delroy replied, “Well, absolutely!”

Zoe Slater actress Michelle Ryan, returning after 20 years, also teased major developments. She called her comeback “a great time” and hinted at shocking storylines following the Max twist.
