EastEnders Heather Peace shares moment which gave her ‘joy’ during ‘super stressful time’
The actress shared a clip of her and her BBC soap co-star Aaron Thiara on social media

EastEnders Heather Peace has shared the moment which gave her ‘joy’ during a ‘super stressful time’ for her away from the BBC soap.
Introduced in 2021, Eve quickly became a fan favourite with viewers through her romance with Strictly Come Dancing star Balvinder Sopal’s Suki Panesar-Unwin. Fans have been heavily invested in the romance following years of them fighting to be together as Suki’s evil ex-husband Nish Panesar fought to keep them apart.

Getting married on New Year’s Day, an end to the couple’s torment arrived when Suki’s son Ravi Gulati pushed Nish off a building. Since then, the couple separated for a brief period after Suki tried to convince her pregnant teenage grandchild Avani Nanda-Hart not to have an abortion.
Thankfully, the couple have gotten back on the same page and are currently exploring their options when it comes to becoming parents together.
Heather, who has also starred in Holby City and Waterloo Road, informed her fans last year that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She said at the time: “I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the beginning of October.
“Since then I’ve undergone surgery and recovery over the Christmas period and today my chemotherapy journey ended. To conclude – I’ve just picked up my medal.”
Heather added: “I’m forever changed. During this time I’ve narrowed my world. I’ve had the most precious time with my wife Ellie and our 3 girls; Annie, Jessie & Lola. Just trying to appreciate every moment of them. I’ve stayed still.”
“I’ve found joy in the simplest of things. Interactions with others have felt honest and real because I’ve had no capacity for small talk. It has felt like such a personal shift. There have been so many positives.”

Keeping fans updated on her progress, including finishing her treatment in May, Heather also shared in recent months that her wife Ellie Dickinson was also diagnosed with breast cancer.
Remaining upbeat in spite of her personal challenges, Heather took to Instagram on Tuesday (January 6) to share a clip of her acting alongside Ravi actor Aaron Thiara. Sitting in a hospital, the pair were discussing the aftermath of Eve and Suki’s wedding.
“Whatever happens, I will not call it quits now. I will be forever grateful,” Heather said before an extra accidentally announced that she wanted to see ‘Mrs Pansesar-Onion’.
Heather and Aaron immediately burst out into a fit of laughter as they covered their faces and tried not to make the extra feel bad about the blooper. Aaron said: “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry love.”

Holding each other trying to stop laughing, Heather could then be seen leaving to give the extra a hug as Aaron accepted that he ‘was gone’ before he went to compose himself to try film the scene again.
Heather captioned the clip on Instagram: “A year to the day since this scene transmitted. So here’s a little blooper. Personally a super stressful time for me, the most stressful; and sometimes it’s wonderful moments like this that give us the outlet to let go.
“This filled me with much laughter & joy. If we’re in trouble for posting this then it was @aaronthiara_ who suggested it…. Mrs Panesar Onion #PanesarUnwin.”
Aaron replied to the message, saying: “@leesopal In the background is sending me!!” Balvinder, who could indeed be heard laughing in the background, replied: “It gets funnier the more you watch it. Oh my god, my stomach!”
Now that Balvinder is done with Strictly having reached the dancing competition’s semi-final, viewers are expecting the Suki and Eve adoption storyline to develop at a faster speed moving forward.
