On the January 12 episode of Days of our Lives, former partners in crime Xander and Leo cried into each other’s tequilas about the lost loves of their lives. Xander was seething about Sarah and Brady, while Leo was torn between Javi, a sweet, loving, and good guy, and Dimitri, with his symmetrical facial features. Yeah, that’s a real tough call. And the fact that he can’t make it doesn’t exactly paint Leo in a positive light. Now that they’re friends, though, what if Xander does Leo a solid?

Stuck in the Middle With You

Leo (Greg Rikaart) married the love of his life, Javi (Al Calderon). Then, Dimitri (Peter Porte) came back like the proverbial cat and announced that he’d never dumped Leo. He was kidnapped and held prisoner.

But now Dimitri is back, and he wants Leo. Javi told Leo to think about what he wants. Leo doesn’t know what he wants. He whined as much to Xander (Paul Telfer). Oh, woe, woe is him!

Someone Else’s Story

Xander feels like he’s lost control of his own life. The love of his life, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), has signed and filed divorce papers — while she canoodles with Brady (Eric Martsolf). There is little Xander can do about that — save fire Brady.

But firing Brady wasn’t as satisfying as Xander had hoped for. So while he can’t fix his own problems, maybe he can regain some feeling of control by fixing Leo’s.

Personal Example

Since Leo can’t seem to tear himself away from Dimitri’s cheekbones and Lord Farquar-like hair, it’s up to Xander to prove to Leo what a loser Dimitri is. Considering how Leo goes on and on about Xander’s hotness, it should be pretty simple for Xander to flirt with Dimitri, get him to make a move, and then demonstrate to Leo just what a player and cad Dimitri is.

Javi deserves better than Leo. But if Leo is what Javi wants, then Leo is who Javi should have. This requires Leo to kick Dimitri to the curb once and for all.
