Corrie fans have been told when Carla Connor and Lisa Swain will reunite following their latest ordeal

Coronation Street fans have been quick to declare ‘finally’ as they were finally told when Carla Connor and Lisa Swain will reunite following their latest ordeal.

It was back in the latter part of 2024 that fans were willing the two women to give in to their feelings for one another after it became clear that there were sparks between the pair. But after they did finally fall into each other’s arms, their journey was anything but plain sailing.

There was Carla’s ill health, and the shock return of her murderer brother Rob Donovan, and Lisa’s struggles with her past. But just as things started to look up, with Lisa popping the question and moving into their first home, No.6 Coronation Street, their future was flipped upside down once again.

And that was down to Becky Swain’s return from the dead. Despite being believed to have been killed in the line of duty, Lisa’s ex-wife made a reappearance on Betsy’s 18th birthday and had the clear intention of getting her family back together at whatever cost.

Becky soon succeeded in splitting Lisa and Carla up as she plotted to run away with Lisa and their daughter. But that was before her fake death was exposed once and for all.

And it was nothing short of dramatic as Becky ended up kidnapping Carla, who was planning to leave for a break in Spain, and kept her held hostage in a flat which Carla had unknowingly been given the location words for when she paid Lisa’s boss, DI Costello, a visit in hospital.

Eventually, DC Kit Green, with some help from the likes of girlfriend Sarah Platt, cracked the case and found Carla tied up in a shipping container, having been moved from the flat by Becky when she realised her plan was about to be rumbled. In the end, Carla and Kit were able to stop Becky in her tracks, but after she had already been involved in a horrific car crash.

Thankfully, Lisa and Betsy survived, as did Becky. But her future is quite bleak after Lisa, despite being treated in an ambulance, arrested her, and viewers have since seen her be sentenced to 12 years for her crimes.

While Carla currently seems reluctant to let Lisa back in, especially after discovering she and Becky slept together while she was gone, spoilers for next week’s Corrie has confirmed the couple, dubbed ‘Swarla’ by fans, will reunite.

And seeing pictures of Lisa and Carla’s happy reunion on Corrie’s social media teaser for what’s ahead has left fans making the same comment.
