Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins shares pregnancy update – as Victoria’s exit looms

Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins has shared a pregnancy update, saying it’s “almost time” for her and her husband to meet their baby.
Last year, the actor, who plays Victoria Sugden, announced she and husband Adam Whitehead were expecting their first child. Now, the soap actor has taken to Instagramto share a carousel of sweet photos, capturing a “magical and surreal 9 months”.
The photos see Hodgins cradling her baby bump, with a few snaps featuring Whitehead gazing lovingly at her.
“Almost time,” Hodgins captioned the post, adding a white heart emoji. She also described her pregnancy journey as “magical and surreal”.
As the couple are gearing up to welcome their baby, Hodgins is taking a break from her Emmerdale duties to focus on motherhood. Her maternity leave lines up with a dramatic storyline for Victoria, who had to make a split-second decision in a vicious attack.

The character killed villain John Sugden, whose death was initially revealed during the crossover with Coronation Street, Corriedale. While Aaron Dingle initially suspected of Robert, Victoria came clean and revealed she murdered John in self-defence.
A flashback shed some light on the night of the car crash, seeing Victoria hurrying to the site of the accident after being informed by Matty Barton.
Little did she know she would come face to face with her villainous sibling John, whose god complex resulted in multiple deaths in the village before he fled to avoid jail last year.

In the flashback, John pinned Victoria to the ground, intending to kill her with a syringe full of drugs. Luckily, she fought back and managed to plunge the needle right into his neck.
As Hodgins is about to take some time off the soap for a very happy reason, could John’s murder play into Victoria’s temporary exit?
