Emmerdale’s Natalie J Robb Shares Rare Update Amid ITV 70th Birthday Celebrations
Natalie J Robb, who has played Moira Dingle on Emmerdale since 2009, treated fans to a rare social media update as she celebrated ITV’s 70th birthday with her co-stars.
The actress, who joined the show as part of the Barton family taking over Butlers Farm, has rarely posted publicly, making this glimpse behind the scenes all the more special.
A Night to Remember
Glammed up for the occasion at London’s Guildhall, Natalie shared photos alongside her fellow Emmerdale cast members, writing:
“Lovely evening with these beauties for the @itv 70th Birthday celebrations!”
Co-star Lisa Riley (Mandy Dingle) commented: “Love ya to the moon and back, what a fantastic night.” Natalie also posted her own tribute:
“70th Birthday—what a beautiful night last night at London’s Guildhall, such an honour to have shared this momentous night with such a lovely group of people. A massive trip down memory lane for me—seeing old faces who I’ve had the luxury of working with over many, many years of ITV. Here we are representing @emmerdale with all the gorgeous girls @misszoehenry @charlottebellamy @nataliejrobbofficial. Thank you for such a gorgeous evening. HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY ITV!”
Other co-stars joined the celebration online, with Beth Cordingly writing: “Stunning all of you” and Eden Taylor-Draper adding: “Gorgis!!”
Reflections on Moira Dingle
The milestone event also prompted Natalie to reflect on her long-running role. With Moira currently navigating financial struggles on the show, Natalie shared her thoughts on what it would mean if her character had to leave the farm:
“Of course she would miss it. My character’s been there now 16 years, and it would be very odd for it to be a change. I’m kind of hoping that some good comes from it because often with clarity in things like this, maybe ideas can come into plan or she’ll get some kind of help. I would miss it because it’s a really good set to work on as well, so I would personally miss it. I’m not sure what else she’d do.”

Embarrassed by Early Scenes
Natalie also revealed that she struggles to watch her earliest Emmerdale scenes, particularly romantic moments with Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle). She admitted:
“The first kissy-wissy scenes, the romantic scenes—I couldn’t even watch it now, it makes me go red. It’s quite raunchy! And for its time, you just think, ‘Oh my goodness.’ Somebody sent me it a few years ago and I got really embarrassed and had to turn it off. I literally blushed. I suppose when you see it on screen it doesn’t feel like that when you’re doing it. No offence, Jeff!”
