Jamie Borthwick, best known to EastEnders fans as Jay Brown, has been spotted returning to set looking noticeably downcast. The 30-year-old actor was seen filming new scenes in a dark suit, hands in his pockets, keeping his head low as he shot fresh episodes.

His on-screen return comes after a turbulent few weeks off-screen, with Jamie at the centre of cheating allegations involving multiple women — and a separate Strictly Come Dancing backstage scandal.

Cheating Allegations

The drama began when Jamie’s ex, Chloe Strand, discovered he had been seeing another woman during their relationship last summer. Soon after, it emerged a third woman was also involved.

The Sun revealed that one of them, model Jordan Dwyer, had been romanced by Jamie with lavish weekend breaks and promises of a future together. Speaking after finding out she wasn’t the only one, Jordan admitted:

“It has been a genuine heartbreak for me. He sold me a lie for more than six months. He seemed like the most perfect guy — but now I know the truth.”

Reports claim Jamie told more than one woman he “loved” them at the same time, leaving each devastated when the truth came out.

The Strictly Scandal

As if the cheating rumours weren’t enough, Jamie was also caught up in controversy linked to his stint on Strictly Come Dancing. During last year’s live tour, a backstage video surfaced showing the actor joking around with a sex toy, reportedly sent to him as a prank.

While intended as silliness, the clip sparked backlash, with both Jamie and fellow contestant Wynne Evans criticised by BBC bosses.

Despite the headlines, Jamie has pressed ahead with his work commitments, stepping back into the role of Jay Brown — one of EastEnders’ most established characters. Onlookers noted he appeared “glum” as he filmed, suggesting the recent scandals may still be weighing heavily on him.
