EastEnders Star Samantha Womack Left Blushing After Hilarious TV Blunder

An Awkward Moment on Love Your Garden

Former EastEnders favourite Samantha Womack had viewers — and herself — in stitches after a cheeky slip-up during an appearance on Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh.

The 52-year-old actress, best known for playing the iconic Ronnie Mitchell, joined fellow entertainer Les Dennis on Sunday’s ITV episode to chat about their long-standing friendship and work together. But just minutes into the interview, things took an unexpectedly funny turn.

“That Sounds Wrong!”

While chatting about their close bond, Samantha revealed: “He lets me park my campervan in his driveway!” before quickly realising how it sounded. With a burst of laughter, she added: “That sounds wrong!”

Covering her face in embarrassment, she giggled: “Sorry, I didn’t mean to do that, sorry!” as Les Dennis, 71, couldn’t contain his laughter, teasing: “Sam’s lost it now!”

Host Alan Titchmarsh, ever the professional, tried to steer the moment back on track — though even he was smiling as he guided the conversation toward their time touring together in The Addams Family musical. Samantha famously played Morticia Addams, while Les took on the role of Uncle Fester.

Life After Walford

Samantha remains one of EastEnders’ most memorable figures. Her character Ronnie Mitchell’s tragic drowning alongside sister Roxy on New Year’s Day 2017 left fans heartbroken.

Since leaving Walford, Samantha has built a strong stage career and found happiness off-screen with her partner, Emmerdale actor Oliver Farnworth, who currently portrays killer John Sugden.

The actress recently shared that strangers often warn her about Oliver’s on-screen alter ego. “I do get warned about him,” she laughed. “But Oli’s so strict about confidentiality — he won’t tell me a thing about what’s happening in the Dales!”EastEnders' Samantha Womack says 'didn't mean to do that' minutes into Alan Titchmarsh show - The Mirror

A Soap Power Couple

Together since 2019 after meeting in The Girl on the Train, Samantha and Oliver have become one of TV’s most charming soap couples — even if their characters couldn’t be more different. “It’s funny,” Samantha admitted. “Up north, everyone knows Oli from Emmerdale, but when we’re down south, it’s all about EastEnders!”
