Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins Celebrates ‘Dreamiest’ Milestone Following ‘Sad’ Admission

A Year of Joy and Change for Isabel Hodgins

It’s been a milestone-filled year for Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins, who has shared one of her sweetest life updates yet — marking six months of marriage and celebrating her pregnancy with what she called the “dreamiest little pre-baby getaway.”

The 32-year-old actress, best known for playing Victoria Sugden, took to Instagram to share glimpses of her idyllic stay at Carden Park in Cheshire with her husband, Adam Whitehead.

Posting a selection of sunlit snaps, Isabel reflected:

“Celebrating 6 months married and being 24 weeks pregnant 🩷 The dreamiest little pre-baby getaway @cardenpark. Lovely pamper with a pregnancy massage and facial followed by a delicious afternoon tea. Feeling so relaxed and grateful for such a special stay.”

A “Sad” But Proud Admission

Earlier that weekend, Isabel shared a more emotional moment with her followers, admitting that she was feeling “sad” not to be running alongside her husband as he competed in the Manchester Half Marathon.

“Sad not to be running alongside him but very proud of my running man,” she wrote, alongside a sweet selfie of the couple.

Fans flooded the comments with congratulations and messages of support, praising Isabel for her positive outlook during pregnancy and celebrating her major milestones this year.

From Soap Drama to Real-Life Happiness

On-screen, things have been far less peaceful for Isabel’s character, Victoria Sugden. The long-running Emmerdale resident has been caught in the middle of the Sugden family’s most explosive storyline in years — torn between her brothers Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

Victoria’s loyalty was tested when John accused Robert of attempted murder, leading her to cut ties with her brother — only for Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) to later reveal that John was the true culprit behind Nate Robinson’s death and several other shocking crimes.

Now, with John on the run and Robert back in her life, Victoria’s relief is short-lived when Kev Townsend, Robert’s ex from prison, arrives in the village with devastating news about his health.

“Cooking Something Up” for Victoria’s Future

While her Emmerdale story continues to twist and turn, Isabel has confirmed that her real-life maternity leave is fast approaching — but she hinted that fans can expect something special before she goes.

“The idea of not being [at Emmerdale] while I’m on maternity leave — that’s crazy!” she told Digital Spy. “It’s still a surprise. They’re still cooking something up, and we’ll see!”

With Isabel’s impending maternity break, fans are already speculating what exit storyline could be in store for Victoria — whether it’s a new romance, a fresh start, or a shocking twist that ties back to the Sugden brothers’ drama.

A Well-Deserved Happy Chapter

After nearly two decades on the show — Isabel first joined Emmerdale in 2006, taking over from Hannah Midgley — the actress is clearly relishing this new chapter of her life.

Between her long-standing soap success, a new marriage, and her growing family, 2025 has truly been one of Isabel’s most memorable years yet.

“Feeling so relaxed and grateful,” she wrote — and it seems fans couldn’t agree more.
