Yellowstone’s Beth & Rip Spin-Off Gets Official Title and a New Star
A New Chapter Begins: The Dutton Ranch
The Yellowstone universe is officially expanding once again — and this time, it’s Beth and Rip’s story that takes center stage.
Paramount and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan have confirmed that the long-awaited spinoff focusing on Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) will be titled The Dutton Ranch.
According to Deadline, the new series will remain set in the present-day timeline, continuing the saga of the fiercely loyal and deeply complicated couple whose love story has become the emotional heart of the original show.

What The Dutton Ranch Is About
Officially described as a testament to the peace Beth and Rip “sought, fought for, and nearly died for,” the spinoff finds the couple building their life together on their 7,000-acre Montana property. But tranquility doesn’t come easy in Sheridan’s world.
“With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive,” reads the synopsis, “all while ensuring Carter (Finn Little) becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”
Fans can expect the series to blend romance, grit, and frontier justice — hallmarks of Sheridan’s storytelling — while exploring Beth and Rip’s next chapter as they carve out their own legacy away from John Dutton’s shadow.
Annette Bening Joins the Cast
Oscar-nominated actress Annette Bening has officially joined the cast in a major new role. She’ll portray Beulah Jackson, described as the “powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.”
Bening’s acclaimed career spans decades, including standout performances in American Beauty, The Kids Are All Right, and most recently, Nyad, which earned her a 2024 Academy Award nomination. Her addition signals a strong new presence and a formidable rival for Beth Dutton — a matchup fans are already buzzing about.
The Team Behind the Spin-Off
The Dutton Ranch comes from Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, with a powerhouse production team that includes Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Chad Feehan, Christina Voros, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Keith Cox serving as executive producers.
This marks Sheridan’s latest expansion of the Yellowstone universe, which already includes 1883, 1923, and the upcoming Y: Marshals starring Luke Grimes.

When Will The Dutton Ranch Premiere?
A premiere date has not yet been announced, but production is expected to begin soon. Given Sheridan’s busy slate, fans can likely expect The Dutton Ranch to debut in late 2025 or early 2026 on Paramount+ and CBS.
The Dutton Legacy Lives On
With The Dutton Ranch, Sheridan continues to build a sprawling universe rooted in loyalty, love, and survival. As Beth and Rip face new threats — and new rivals — this spinoff promises to deliver everything fans love about Yellowstone: high emotion, breathtaking landscapes, and fierce devotion to family.
The ranch may look peaceful, but as Beth Dutton has proven time and again — peace in this world always comes at a price.
