Yellowstone’s Beth & Rip Spinoff Officially Titled The Dutton Ranch — Annette Bening Joins Cast
A New Chapter Begins for Beth and Rip
The Yellowstone universe just got bigger — and even more intense. The long-rumored Beth and Rip spinoff has finally received its official title: The Dutton Ranch.
Confirmed by Deadline, the series will see Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprise their iconic roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, continuing their story in the same present-day timeline. The show comes directly from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and promises a deeper look into the couple’s post-Montana life and the land they’ve fought so fiercely to protect.

Plot: Building a Legacy, Defending a Dream
According to the show’s official synopsis:
“The Dutton Ranch, home to Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, is a testament to the peace they sought, fought for, and nearly died for, as they’ve come to cherish their 7,000-acre land. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter (Finn Little) becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”
This confirms that Finn Little will return as Carter, stepping into a more central role as Beth and Rip’s surrogate son — and the next generation of Dutton grit.
Annette Bening Joins the Cast
In a stunning casting move, Annette Bening has joined The Dutton Ranch as Beulah Jackson, described as “a powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.”
Bening’s award-winning résumé includes American Beauty, The Kids Are All Right, Captain Marvel, and her Oscar-nominated turn in Nyad. Her addition signals that The Dutton Ranch won’t just be a love story — it’ll be a clash of titans, with Beth facing off against a formidable new rival in the heart of Texas ranch country.
The Team Behind the Sequel
Taylor Sheridan will executive produce alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Chad Feehan, Christina Voros, and stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser themselves.
Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, The Dutton Ranch will continue the franchise’s signature blend of family drama, Western grit, and breathtaking cinematography.
When Will The Dutton Ranch Premiere?
A premiere date has not yet been announced, but production is expected to move quickly — with filming rumored to start early next year.
With Sheridan balancing several hit projects (Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown), fans can expect The Dutton Ranch to land on Paramount+ in late 2025 or early 2026.
