Coronation Street’s Becky Swain Manipulates Her Way Into Carla and Lisa’s Home — But How Long Before Her Lies Unravel?

Coronation Street’s newest troublemaker Becky Swain (portrayed by Katie McGlynn) is back to her old tricks next week, as she pulls off her boldest move yet — worming her way into the home of her ex, Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), and Lisa’s fiancée Carla Connor (Alison King).

After claiming that she’s being threatened at her new flat, Becky convinces Lisa and her daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) that she’s in danger. Against Carla’s better judgment, Lisa opens their doors to Becky — and the manipulative ex wastes no time making herself comfortable.Becky Swain, Lisa Swain, Coronation Street

Becky plays the victim

At first, Becky’s story seems convincing. She insists that “heavies” have been after her and that she had nowhere else to turn. Lisa’s protective instincts kick in, and Betsy — still deeply attached to her mum — begs Carla to let her stay.

But it doesn’t take long before Carla starts smelling a rat.

“Now Becky’s got herself into No.6, there’s no way she’s going to want to leave again,” a Corrie insider teases. “Carla’s going to have a big battle on her hands if she wants to get rid.”

Lisa, though sympathetic, begins to have her own doubts. When she confronts Becky and asks outright whether she’s telling the truth, Becky turns on the tears, playing the victim so effectively that Lisa backs off — for now.Coronation Street fans rumble Becky's 'plan' in Lisa Swain and Carla Connor statement as future 'confirmed' - Manchester Evening News

Carla declares war

Carla, however, isn’t buying Becky’s act for a second. Especially after Lisa confessed that Becky had recently tried to kiss her, reigniting old feelings and causing friction between the couple.

“As far as Carla is concerned, this is war,” the insider adds. “She’s determined to protect Lisa and Betsy — and to get Becky out of their lives for good.”

Carla confronts Lisa, urging her to see reason: if Becky’s really under threat, why would she bring that danger straight to her daughter’s door? But while Carla tries to reason with her fiancée, Becky overhears everything.Coronation Street spoiler: Carla storms off over Lisa and Becky's video

A dangerous game

Listening from the hallway, Becky’s expression hardens. She’s been known to handle threats in her own way — last time, she sent Costello packing when he tried to force her back to Spain. And if she dealt with him, how far will she go to silence Carla?

Meanwhile, Betsy remains caught in the middle. Still convinced her mum is genuinely in danger, she refuses to accept that Becky could be lying — especially when the idea of moving to Spain with her mother still tempts her.

As the tension in No.6 reaches boiling point, Lisa faces an impossible decision: protect Carla and risk losing her daughter, or side with Becky and open the door to disaster.

Whatever she chooses, one thing’s clear — Becky Swain isn’t leaving quietly.
