Coronation Street’s New Family Faces Turmoil as Will Driscoll’s Lies Unravel

Coronation Street’s newest arrivals, the Driscolls, are already causing a stir on the cobbles, and the family drama is only just beginning. Newcomer Will Driscoll is set to shake things up even further when a lie to his father Ben and stepmother Eva sends the household into chaos.

A Fresh Start Turns Sour

The Driscolls arrived in Weatherfield last week, marking the long-awaited return of Eva Price after seven years away. She came back alongside her husband Ben and his mother, Maggie Driscoll — the new landlady of the Rovers Return. While the family hoped for a fresh start, tension quickly brewed between Maggie and Eva over control of the pub.

Now, their fragile peace is about to be tested again as Ben’s son Will makes his first appearance.

Will’s Secretive Arrival

Will, who has been living in Kingston upon Hull, finally arrives in Weatherfield this week. Though Ben and Eva try to help him settle in, it becomes clear the teenager is struggling. Hoping to encourage him, they start looking for a local athletics club, where James Bailey steps in to offer a training session.

But Will seems more focused on his phone than his future. Later, he claims he has a meeting with his old athletics team in Leeds — a story that quickly begins to fall apart.

Trouble Behind the Lie

When Will’s coach Megan drops him off in Weatherfield, he storms away in a foul mood, hinting that there’s more to his behavior than simple teenage rebellion. Ben, unaware of the full truth, bumps into Megan later and invites her for lunch at the Rovers, determined to find out what’s really going on with his son.

As Will’s frustration grows, questions begin to swirl: what is he hiding, and why does he feel the need to lie to his family?

Ben Torn Between Two Worlds

Actor Aaron McCusker, who plays Ben, revealed that his character is caught in a painful tug of loyalty. “He’s got every reason to be stuck between his mum and Eva because he loves them both dearly,” he explained. “He can see that Maggie doesn’t treat Eva very well, but he’s scared to step in because she raised him alone. Deep down, he wishes she’d just back off sometimes.”

Storm Brewing in the Rovers

With Maggie’s overbearing influence, Eva’s determination to assert herself, and Will’s growing list of secrets, the Driscoll family’s fresh start looks destined to collapse. As emotions flare behind the bar of the Rovers Return, the newcomer family may soon find themselves at the center of Weatherfield’s next big scandal.
