A Grateful Reflection on a Pivotal Year

Beth, who joined Emmerdale in early 2024, has taken on some of the show’s most emotionally demanding storylines—including a child abuse trauma arc and a gripping murder cover-up. But behind the scenes, it’s the people that have made the experience so memorable for her.

Posting to Instagram, the Bill alum wrote:

“Another year here. I am in love with these people (and those I didn’t capture on camera). You’re golden. And you have all changed me for the better. I love you and I love my job.”

Warm Messages from the Cast

The tribute immediately drew responses from several cast members. Bradley Riches (Lewis Barton) replied with “Love YOUU,” while Olivia Bromley (Dawn Taylor) wrote: “Aw Beth, is this cute x.” Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle) also showed his love with heart emojis, and Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle Dingle) responded with a flurry of silver hearts.

Beth’s slideshow included snaps with her on-screen husband, William Ash (Caleb Miligan), and other close castmates, capturing joyful moments between filming some of the show’s darkest scenes.Emmerdale spoilers: Ruby reveals secret agony from her past | Soaps | Metro News

A Special Partnership Off Screen

In real life, Beth is in a relationship with Emmerdale alum Ian Kelsey, known to fans as Dave Glover (1994–1996). Beth has credited Ian for supporting her through Ruby’s heavy storylines.

“He’s worked with me on the script,” she told the Mirror earlier this year. “Because we both really enjoy working on things together. To be in a relationship with someone who you can do this with, it’s really special. I’m very lucky.”

Ian echoed her sentiment in an interview with Inside Soap, saying:

“She’s doing such great work, and it’s a deep, dark storyline. Her workload has been huge, but she’s doing a brilliant job. I’m so proud of her.”

Looking Ahead for Ruby Milligan

As Ruby’s journey continues in the Dales, fans can expect more challenging scenes and deeper emotional arcs. Whether grappling with past trauma or navigating her family’s increasingly chaotic web of secrets, Ruby remains one of the show’s most compelling figures.

Beth’s tribute serves as a reminder that while soap characters often face turmoil, the bonds formed behind the camera are full of heart, support, and real love.
