What’s In A Name?

Born Donald Feinberg in New York City, Diamont grew up in Los Angeles as the youngest in a tight-knit family of four children. A standout student and top athlete, Diamont’s early drive set the stage for his future daytime success. In college, he trained with legendary acting coach Nina Foch, a move that launched his professional path. After signing with an agent, he adopted his mother’s maiden name, Diamont.

Sudsy Introduction

Modeling opened the door for Diamont, and it wasn’t long before he booked his first daytime role on Days of Our Lives, playing Carlo Forenza in 1984. He made the move to The Young and the Restless in 1985, joining the cast as Brad Carlton. After exiting Y&R in 1996 due to his contract not being renewed, he appeared on Baywatch and Diagnosis Murder before returning to Genoa City in 1998. He remained on the soap until 2009, when Brad met a dramatic end as the series navigated budget cuts.

Beautiful People

Diamont made history in 1990 as the first daytime actor named one of People magazine’s Most Beautiful People.

Light On His Feet

In 1998, Diamont played the title role in the film The Incredible Adventures of Marco Polo on His Journeys to the Ends of the Earth and in 2018 he was a contestant for the Italian version of Dancing With the Stars called Ballado con le Stelle.

Family Man

Diamont published a memoir, My Seven Sons And How We Raised Each Other, in 2018. He is also the proud father of six sons: Lauren, Sasha, Alexander, Luca, and twins Anton and Davis, as well as Drew — his late sister’s son, whom Don raised and considers a son. The actor has been married to Cindy Ambuehl since 2012.
