Viewers witnessed one of the most intense scenes, as Billy is left in the fire caused by Theo Silverton. Billy’s farewell left viewers devastated as he bravely faced death in an emotionally charged scene.

After filming was complete, 46-year-old Daniel Brocklebank shared behind-the-scenes photos of himself, including one of his face covered in blood and wounds. Daniel shared the photo on Instagram, moving fans to see him in such a bloody state.
The scene was filmed at 11 pm at the old Emmerdale studios in Leeds, where Daniel worked before joining Coronation Street. This was his first return to the studio in 21 years.
While waiting to film, Daniel wore warm clothing and drank tea from a thermos to keep warm in the cold night. Despite the fake wounds, he maintained a positive attitude and dedicated himself to his work.
The Emotions Behind the Scene
Daniel admitted that filming this scene was not only a professional challenge but also brought deep emotions. He had previously played Ivan Jones in Emmerdale before joining Coronation Street and taking on the role of Billy Mayhew.
He shared: “Returning to Emmerdale studio after 21 years is a strange feeling. Even though it’s my first time back here, I still feel like home. This scene, though sad, is an integral part of my journey on screen.”
