Cain’s latest disappearance began earlier this autumn, when he left the village to hunt down John Sugden—the man who killed his son, Nate. Fueled by grief and rage, Cain crossed into France, determined to bring John to justice.

After weeks of silence, Moira received a call from Cain… from prison in Dover. He had returned to England drunk and angry, arrested after causing a scene on a ferry. When he got back to the village, he was emotionally wrecked and disconnected from his family.

Slowly, he began to heal. Cain reconnected with Moira, Kyle, and even Liam. It felt like a new chapter was starting.

Until he vanished again.

The Sinister Plot Brewing Around Moira

While Cain remains off-screen, Moira is unknowingly standing in the middle of a deadly trap—and it has Celia Daniels’ fingerprints all over it.

Moira recently welcomed Celia into her life, believing her to be a genuine business partner. But Celia’s motivations are far more dangerous. After learning that Ray Walters planned a secret funeral for Anya, Celia twisted the plan into something more sinister.

She ordered Ray and Bear Wolf to bury Anya’s body in a shallow grave—on Moira’s own farmland.

To make things worse, Celia wrapped Anya in a blanket she stole from Moira’s donation pile—one carrying Moira’s DNA.

If Anya’s body is ever discovered, all signs will point to Moira. It’s a chilling move—planting a body under someone’s nose while making sure all the evidence frames them.

A source close to production has hinted that Cain will return soon with a massive new storyline. That return couldn’t come soon enough. With Moira unknowingly walking into a criminal nightmare, Cain may be the only one capable of exposing Celia’s plot before it’s too late.
