Celia’s Shocking Pick to Replace Ray Revealed—And Dylan May Be in Too Deep
A brutal birthday test, a tied-up worker, and a horrifying promotion—will Dylan become Celia’s new right-hand man?
Dylan’s Birthday Turns Into a Nightmare
Next week on Emmerdale, Celia Daniels makes a chilling move—choosing her next manager in the most twisted way possible. Her target? Teenager Dylan Penders.
The episode begins with what should have been a normal birthday. But Celia crashes the celebration and whisks Dylan away to her farm. There, she has something brutal planned to test his loyalty.
A Baseball Bat and an Impossible Choice
To Dylan’s horror, Celia reveals she’s tied up Robbie—an exploited worker she suspects of betraying her operation. Handing Dylan a baseball bat, she orders him to “teach Robbie a lesson.”
Frozen with fear and disgust, Dylan refuses.
But instead of punishing him, Celia is delighted.
Jaye Griffiths, who plays Celia, explains:
“She sees Ray in Dylan. The fact that Dylan won’t use violence tells her he’s management material, not muscle. That’s what she wants—someone to control others.”
Mick Delivers the Beating—Dylan Gets a Promotion
After Dylan refuses to hurt Robbie, Celia sends in her enforcer, Mick, to finish the job. Dylan is quickly ushered away, but the damage is done—literally and figuratively.
Celia then sits Dylan down and lays out her plan: she wants him to take over Ray’s role. To manage the workers. To become her new trusted lieutenant.
Dylan is stunned. At first, he doesn’t think he has a choice. But as the truth sinks in, he begins to realize something even more disturbing—he may be just another victim in Celia’s web.
A Glimpse of the Future—Or a Point of No Return?
Later, Dylan checks on Robbie and is shaken by the sight of his injuries. Bruised and bleeding, Robbie is a warning: this is what happens when you cross Celia.
Jaye Griffiths adds:
“Celia is loyal. If Dylan steps up, she’ll protect him like she did Ray. But that protection comes at a price.”
Now Dylan faces an impossible choice. Does he cooperate to survive? Or does he risk everything by resisting her?
