Coronation Street Chaos: Leanne Walks in on Nick Proposing to Toyah as Eva Returns to Reunite Her Sisters
Drama, betrayal, and a shocking proposal — Coronation Street is about to deliver one of its most explosive family showdowns yet. Toyah Battersby’s (Georgia Taylor) affair with Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) continues to rock Weatherfield, but the tension reaches new heights next week when Leanne (Jane Danson) walks in on the couple at the worst possible moment — just as Nick is down on one knee.
A Love Triangle That Tore the Battersbys Apart
Toyah and Nick’s relationship has been on borrowed time since the moment it began. The two grew close in 2024 while Leanne was consumed by her devotion to The Institute, a sinister cult led by Rowan (Emrhys Cooper). As Leanne drifted deeper into the group’s manipulation, Nick found himself drawn to Toyah — and soon, feelings turned into a full-blown affair.
The truth came crashing down when Leanne hacked Rowan’s laptop and found photos of her sister and Nick kissing, exposing not only their betrayal but Rowan’s blackmail plot against them. The revelation shattered the Battersby family, forcing Leanne to move out and rebuild her life while Toyah and Nick tried to justify their love.
But in Weatherfield, the past always finds its way home.

Eva Price Returns to Weatherfield
Leanne’s world is thrown into further turmoil when her sister Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) makes a dramatic return to the cobbles. Eva’s partner, Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker), has just bought The Rovers Return for her — a surprise gift that brings both excitement and nostalgia to the street.
Overjoyed, Eva immediately seeks to reconnect her fractured family, inviting Leanne to fetch Toyah so the three sisters can share a drink and patch things up. But when Leanne steps into the Bistro, she’s met with a scene straight out of a nightmare — Nick, on one knee, proposing to Toyah.
Leanne’s stunned silence says it all. The betrayal she thought she’d left behind now stares her in the face, ring and all.
Tensions Erupt in The Rovers
Meanwhile, back at the pub, Eva’s daughter Susie (Aurora Bradshaw) arrives, soon followed by Dee-Dee Bailey’s boyfriend Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike), who also happens to be Ben’s son. As Ben and Ollie discuss business, Toyah storms in and immediately starts arguing with Leanne.
The atmosphere turns toxic, forcing Eva to take control. In a bold move, she locks the door of The Rovers and declares that no one is leaving until her sisters settle their differences once and for all.
It’s the emotional reunion fans have been waiting for — and fearing — as old wounds are ripped open and years of resentment spill out over the bar counter.

Cath Tyldesley on Eva’s Return
Speaking about her comeback, Catherine Tyldesley teased what fans can expect from Eva’s return:
“Eva does have that fun, spontaneous side, but she’s also incredibly strong — like her mum, Stella. We’re going to see that strength come out as she steps into this new role behind The Rovers bar. She’s determined to fix things between her sisters.”
Reflecting on working again with Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor, she added:
“It’s extra lovely to come back to that dynamic. The three witches reunited — strong women who’ve been through so much. They’re a real force to be reckoned with, and they’ve got each other’s backs. It’s been a joy to play.”

Sisters, Secrets, and Scandal
As Eva takes charge of The Rovers and her family, the question remains — can Leanne ever forgive Toyah and Nick? And will Eva’s intervention heal the Battersby sisters or ignite a fresh war on the cobbles?
One thing’s certain: when these three women are under the same roof, Weatherfield had better prepare for fireworks.
