Coronation Street Confirms Ollie’s Shocking Real Identity as Eva Price Returns to the Cobbles
Coronation Street has delivered one of its most exciting twists of the year, revealing newcomer Ollie’s true identity just as Eva Price makes her long-awaited return to Weatherfield.
After seven years away, Catherine Tyldesley is back as the feisty, glamorous Eva — and she’s not returning alone. The former Rovers barmaid is stepping into her biggest role yet as the new landlady of the Rovers Return, bringing along a new family, a new dynamic, and plenty of secrets that promise to shake the Street to its core.
Eva Returns With a Family — and a Secret
When Eva left the cobbles in 2018, fans never expected she’d come back to reclaim the heart of Weatherfield’s most iconic pub. Now, following Jenny Connor’s exit and Carla Connor’s business takeover, Eva is moving back in behind the bar with her partner Ben Driscoll (played by Shameless star Aaron McCusker) and his outspoken mother Maggie, portrayed by Father Ted’s Pauline McLynn.
Together, they arrive as the Driscoll-Price family — a blended household filled with love, loyalty, and a few well-guarded secrets. Joining them are Ben’s two sons and Eva’s daughter, Susie, whose return will delight long-time fans.
But the biggest surprise? Ollie, previously introduced as Dee-Dee Bailey’s new love interest, turns out to be part of the same family.
Ollie’s True Identity Revealed
Fans first met Ollie earlier this year when he charmed Dee-Dee during a night at the Rovers. Their chemistry was instant, but Ollie’s mysterious behaviour left viewers suspicious. Now, the truth is finally out — Ollie is actually connected to Eva and Ben’s family, marking a dramatic crossover between storylines.
The revelation reshapes everything viewers thought they knew about Ollie and promises big consequences for Dee-Dee, who has unknowingly become entangled in the Price-Driscoll family drama.
Behind the Bar, and at the Heart of the Street
Speaking about her return, Catherine Tyldesley said she was thrilled to play a “powerhouse couple” at the heart of the Rovers. “Kate [Brooks] told me she wanted a couple who genuinely think the world of each other,” she explained. “It’s refreshing because you expect drama straight away, but Eva and Ben are solid. They love fiercely, and they protect each other.”
Producer Kate Brooks added, “The Rovers feels alive again with Eva and her family. It’s full of warmth, joy, and that sense of loyalty that Corrie does so well. Of course, every family has their dramas — and this one’s no different.”
Sisters Reunited and Ready for Trouble
Eva’s return will also reignite her on-screen bond with sisters Leanne and Toyah Battersby (Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor). “The three witches reunited,” Catherine joked. “They’re strong women — stronger together — and they’ve always got each other’s backs.”

What’s Next for Weatherfield?
With Eva taking over the Rovers, Ben’s family moving in, and Ollie’s true identity now revealed, Coronation Street is setting the stage for months of high-stakes drama, fiery relationships, and long-awaited reunions.
The Price-Driscoll clan may have arrived with smiles and charm, but their “suitcase full of secrets” could soon upend life on the cobbles once more.
