Coronation Street Dominates the Night

Coronation Street swept the board, taking home multiple awards, including Best Soap, Best Storyline, Best Actress, Best Partnership, and Best Comic Performance.

The Best Actress trophy went to Vicky Myers for her acclaimed role as DS Lisa Swain, while the Best Storyline was awarded to the harrowing plot involving Mason Radcliffe’s death and Abi Webster’s PTSD.

Editor Sarah Ellis praised the soap’s strong year:

“Corrie’s win tops off a stellar year for the soap, no doubt helped by the huge popularity of Best Partnership winners Alison King and Vicky Myers, aka fan favourites Swarla.”

Emmerdale’s Big Wins

Over in the Dales, the Dingle family cemented their legacy by winning Best Family for the fifth time—a record in Inside Soap Awards history.

Emmerdale also secured the coveted Best Showstopper Award for the limo crash disaster, a spectacular stunt that saw three beloved characters perish when the vehicle plunged into an icy lake. Rising star Amelia Flanagan (April Windsor) collected her fourth Best Young Performer award, proving her staying power as one of soap’s brightest talents.

EastEnders’ Emotional Triumphs

EastEnders also shone, with Steve McFadden taking home Best Actor for his powerhouse performance as Phil Mitchell, a role he has dominated for decades.

Newcomer Laura Doddington impressed fans with her portrayal of villainous Nicola Mitchell, winning Best Newcomer, while Navin Chowdhry (Nish Panesar) was named Best Villain for the second year running.

Fans were also deeply moved by James Bye’s win for Best Exit, after his character Martin Fowler died during the soap’s 40th anniversary live episode.

Meanwhile, Heather Peace (Eve Panesar-Unwin) was honoured as Soap Superstar of 2025, with fans calling her “a Northern powerhouse” and “an icon who has always fought for others.”

Neighbours and Casualty Honoured

Though axed earlier this year, Neighbours was celebrated with two Outstanding Achievement Awards—one for the whole cast and crew, and another for Stefan Dennis, who also bagged Best Daytime Star for his legendary role as Paul Robinson.

In continuing drama, Michael Stevenson (Iain Dean, Casualty) won Best Drama Star for his portrayal of the heroic paramedic.

A Historic Night

After more than 90,000 fan votes, the Inside Soap Awards remain the only soap prizes entirely voted for by viewers. With Corrie and Emmerdale preparing for a groundbreaking crossover episode in early 2026, and EastEnders riding high on powerful storylines, the future of soaps looks stronger than ever.
