Coronation Street reveals who could reunite Lisa and Carla next week
Coronation Street‘s Roy Cropper is helped by his beloved late wife Hayley from beyond the grave next week, when he and Carla Connor mark the anniversary of her death together. Will memories of Hayley now influence Roy and Carla’s decisions as they look to the future?
As the difficult day arrives, sombre Roy tells Lisa Swain that he plans to visit the boating lake where he scattered Hayley’s ashes as a way to honour her.
As Roy and Carla reminisce about Hayley, Roy urges her to make up with Lisa, as Hayley would have wanted her to be truly happy.

Touched, Carla reiterates the sentiment, pointing out that Hayley would want happiness for Roy, too…

“Roy’s developing relationship with his pen pal Alice has left him feeling conflicted, as he fears that he’s being unfaithful to Hayley,” explains our Street source.
“However, honouring Hayley’s memory makes Roy and Carla realise that they need to move forward with their lives, as they deserve to live them to the fullest.”
Roy’s realisation comes at a crucial time. Earlier in the week, he writes a letter to Alice and Nina teases him about taking the relationship to a romantic level. Visibly offended, Roy storms out of the café.
After Hayley’s anniversary, a renewed Roy and Nina discuss the unlikely chance that Alice is a catfisher. They decide against this worrying possibility, just as Roy receives a text from his mysterious lady friend.

Could love be about to blossom anew for the sweet café owner? And will Carla and Lisa put the past behind them and admit they still love each other?
Coronation Street‘s producer Kate Brooks recently promised a happy spring season for Lisa and Carla, so it’s only a matter of time before they do reunite.
“Obviously, there’s a lot to get past, but they love each other and that love never faltered at all,” Brooks said. “I think the love remains strong – it was the circumstances that got in the way.
“Now that the ghost of Becky is finally being put to bed, they can move forward with their lives and they can look forward to their future together.”
She added: “They were engaged, so wedding bells are certainly ringing in the not-too-distant future, and they’ll get their happy ever after.
“They will get the chance to finally be free from Becky and be free from the drama that surrounded that story and be happy and content with each other. So it’s going to be a romantic spring for Carla and Lisa, which will make many people smile, I imagine!”
