Speaking exclusively at the Inside Soap Awards, Sydney confirmed Betsy’s heart is big enough for both women. “It’s not a competition between Becky and Carla, especially in Betsy’s eyes,” she explained. “I wanted to solidify that for people watching because that is something I keep note of. I love the relationship with Carla, and it’s two very different things. I’ve been very protective over that.”

Her words will come as a relief to fans who feared Betsy might turn her back on Carla, especially with Becky now back in her life.

What’s Next for the Swains?

Carla and Lisa’s romance — affectionately dubbed Swarla by viewers — has already survived kidnappings, near break-ups, and family drama. With Becky back in the picture, tensions have risen, but Sydney insists Betsy wants both her mothers in her life, without forcing a choice.
