‘Days of Our Lives’ Star Colton Little Eyes Longer Stay
The Andrew Donovan actor shares his hopes for a longer run on the soap.

Since 2022, Colton Little has portrayed Days of Our Lives legacy character Andrew Donovan in recurring appearances. Now the actor is opening up about the possibility of joining the long-running soap in a more permanent role.
Speaking with JLJ Media’s James Lott Jr., Little addressed the idea of staying with the show long term. “I would love to do a contract,” he said. “I would love to be in in a show consistently.”
On-screen, Andrew Donovan is the eldest son of Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease), two legacy characters in the Days of Our Lives universe. Andrew returned to the franchise in 2022 during the second season of the spinoff Beyond Salem, with Little stepping in the role.
The character was revealed to be an ISA agent tasked with locating Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) following their kidnapping. John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean), assisted in the mission, and the two quickly formed a close bond.
After rescuing Steve and John from Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson), Andrew and Paul’s relationship continued to deepen. In 2025, the couple married in a ceremony surrounded by family, later revealing in November that they were interested in starting a family together.
When discussing the possibility of returning to Days of Our Lives in a longer-term capacity, Little said the idea is appealing. “I think that that would be a lot of fun, and it offers you family, and it offers you security.”
Fans have been on social media asking for Little to return and stick around long term. One user shared on X (formerly twitter), saying, “Fingers crossed that Andrew makes many visits to Salem this year, followed by a permanent move to the Midwest…🤞”
With a second user adding, “DAYS will bring everyone back except for Colton Andrew Little Donovan. I swear the show feels incomplete without him. How do we not have this man permanently on the show?!! need him as the new James Bond of Salem ASAP. Bring. Him. Home!”
