EastEnders Confirms Junior Knight’s Shock Exit — and Hints Another Departure Is Coming
EastEnders is set for major upheaval next week as Junior Knight makes a life-changing decision to leave Walford behind — just as Kojo Asare’s future also hangs in the balance.
Fans can expect emotional farewells, family tension, and more fallout from the ongoing drugs den storyline that has shaken the Knight family to its core.
Junior’s Big Decision
After months of turbulence, Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) stuns his family by revealing that he’s heading back to Dubai for good. The announcement comes as a devastating blow to his father George (Colin Salmon), who’s already struggling to hold his family together in the wake of Kojo’s troubles.
“It’s all change for George, who could be about to lose his son and his brother in one fell swoop,” an EastEnders insider revealed.
Junior confides that he misses his son Xavier, who lives abroad, and has been offered a new job opportunity in Dubai. Having secretly booked his flight, Junior insists his decision is final — but the timing couldn’t be worse.
George’s World Falls Apart
At the same time, George receives an urgent message from his brother Kobina, demanding that Kojo return to Ghana immediately following the chaos of the drugs operation.
George finds himself trapped between loyalty to his brother and love for his family, knowing that forcing Kojo to leave could shatter him completely.
When Junior discovers George’s plan to send Kojo away, the father-son relationship — already fragile — explodes into anger and disappointment.
“George is blindsided,” says the insider. “Their relationship has always been complicated, but he doesn’t want to lose his son again — not like this.”
Kojo’s Panic and Junior’s Desperation
As tensions erupt, Kojo (Dayo Koleosho) overhears the heated exchange and descends into panic, terrified at the thought of being sent back to his former life in Ghana.
Junior steps in to calm him, promising to find a way to keep him in Walford — even if it means going against George’s wishes.
Determined to protect his uncle, Junior makes a risky move and decides to approach Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) in a desperate attempt to cut new deals and buy Kojo some freedom.
“Junior’s trying to do the right thing,” the insider adds. “But in Walford, good intentions often come with dangerous consequences.”
Two Exits on the Horizon?
As the week draws to a close, the Knights are left fractured by Junior’s decision and Kojo’s uncertain fate. With both men facing pressure to leave, George is forced to confront the painful reality that he might lose them both.
Whether Kojo chooses to stay or go remains to be seen, but one thing is certain — Junior’s exit will leave a void that could change the Knight family forever.
