Next week on EastEnders, chaos and deception grip Walford as two major exits unfold — but the most shocking moment belongs to Cindy Beale. Her investigation into newcomer Jasmine Fisher ends violently when she is found lifeless at the bottom of the stairs after a brutal confrontation.

Suspicious of Jasmine’s strange behaviour, Cindy teams up with Lauren Branning to look into her past. When Jasmine leaves her phone unattended, the pair seize their chance. They manage to contact her mother, Anita, who instantly warns them that Jasmine has a very dark side.

Armed with this frightening information, Cindy heads straight to The Albert to confront Jasmine. The moment Jasmine learns that her mother has been contacted, she completely loses control. Fearing her secret has been exposed, she lashes out and shoves Cindy down the stairs in a sudden burst of rage.

Cindy is left motionless until Oscar Branning discovers her and raises the alarm. When he challenges Jasmine over what happened, she denies everything and tries to appear calm. But as Oscar presses her, Jasmine panics and quickly changes her story, inventing a lie to cover the attack.
