Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle are done playing nice. Next week, the fan-favourite couple secretly work together to force Kev Townsend out of the village for good. Their plan? Have Kev arrested and questioned over the armed robbery he carried out not long ago.
At Hotten Police Station, DS Carter bombards Kev with questions after Robert and Aaron put their scheme into motion. But their mission is incredibly risky, and one mistake could backfire in deadly fashion.
Robert suspects Kev knows the truth
The week begins with Robert determined to discover where Kev hid the stolen goods. Kev grows suspicious and warns Robert that he hates being lied to. Robert starts to panic. Has Kev figured out the plot?
Liam forced into the plan after shocking confession
Kev pressures Dr. Liam Cavanagh to tell Robert that his heart condition was misdiagnosed. When Liam bursts in on a secret meeting with Robert, Aaron and Chas, the trio attempt to hide their scheming. It doesn’t work.
Liam confesses that Kev has been lying about his health. Robert and Aaron are stunned, and their determination to remove Kev only intensifies. Chas and Liam still hate the idea, but they finally agree to help.
Aaron spies on Kev at the church
Later, Kev sneaks into the village church and retrieves a holdall of stolen loot. Aaron watches from the shadows. As Kev leaves, Aaron makes the crucial phone call that activates the final phase of their plan.
Kev dragged in for questioning — will he go down?
DS Carter questions Kev the next day. If the police can link him to the robbery, Robert and Aaron may finally get what they want: Kev gone from Emmerdale — possibly behind bars.
But if Kev realises who betrayed him, the consequences could be brutal.
