Emmerdale Spoilers: Charity’s Baby Secret Teeters on the Brink as Mack Grows Suspicious
Charity Dingle’s hidden betrayal threatens to come crashing down in Emmerdale next week, as Mackenzie Boyd starts to pick up on the clues she’s trying so hard to conceal.
Charity’s Secret Under Pressure
With Mack finally home after surviving John Sugden’s twisted captivity, Charity should be relieved. Instead, she’s battling the crushing weight of her secret—the fear that Ross Barton may be the real father of Sarah Sugden’s baby.
While Mack was missing, Charity managed to mask her emotions, playing the doting surrogate in front of Sarah. But now that her husband is back, his sharp instincts are making it harder for her to keep the truth buried.
Mack Begins to Suspect
Actor Lawrence Robb explained that Mack’s relief at being home is tempered by his lingering trauma: “He’s still in a lot of pain and suffering from PTSD… Now he’s overflowing with love and relief that Charity didn’t really believe he’d up and leave her.”
Yet that love doesn’t blind him to her strange behavior. Mack notices her moods are off, and while Charity tries to blame it on his ordeal, his suspicions are mounting.
The DNA Test Looms
The paternity test results are only days away, and Charity knows everything could crumble if her worst fears are confirmed. For now, she deflects Mack’s questions, insisting Sarah is just too caught up in baby excitement. But Mack isn’t convinced.
If Ross is the father, the betrayal would cut deep. As Robb admits: “Because the baby daddy could be Ross, it’s a more poignant betrayal… Ross nearly killed Mack a few months ago and they’ve never seen eye to eye.”
More Secrets Ahead
Even as Charity braces herself for the test results, Lawrence Robb teased that more twists are coming: “There’s a lot more drama ahead with Ross and Charity. But there’s also something with Mackenzie and Sarah. She’s struggling with a secret too…”
With multiple lies at risk of surfacing, the truth could blow the Boyd-Dingle household apart.
