Emmerdale Star Bradley Riches ‘Thanks’ Kim Tate for His Character’s New “Luxury” Life

Emmerdale actor Bradley Riches has shared his gratitude — both in character and out — after his on-screen alter ego, Lewis Barton, moved into a plush new home in the Dales, thanks to none other than Kim Tate.

Lewis Barton Finds His “Lounge of Luxury”

The Heartstopper star joined Emmerdale earlier this year as Lewis Barton, the first neurodivergent character in the village. Since his debut, Lewis has quickly won over fans with his warmth and honesty — and now he’s enjoying a change of scenery in style.Mike and Bradley

After Kim Tate (Claire King) stepped in to help Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) find new housemates, she arranged for Lewis and Ross Barton (Michael Parr) to move in at Dale View. The unlikely trio’s living situation has already sparked laughter and chaos, with fans affectionately dubbing their new digs “the lads’ pad.”

Taking to Instagram, Bradley celebrated the on-screen move with a cheeky post, writing:

“Some may call Dale View a ‘Lad Pad’ — I call it Lewis’s Lounge of Luxury. Thanks Kim Tate!”

Co-star Bradley Johnson responded in kind, commenting, “The best housemates,” while fans flooded the comments with excitement over the new setup.

Fans Love the New Housemates

Viewers have been quick to praise the friendship forming between Lewis, Vinny, and Ross. One fan wrote, “Loving the three of you — going to be some laughs in that house, bring it on!” Another added, “Ross back at Dale View and Lewis in the mix? Perfect combo! Just need Kammy to move in too!”

The storyline offers a lighthearted shift for both Vinny and Lewis after emotionally heavy arcs earlier in the year. Vinny continues to recover from heartbreak following his split with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), while Lewis is still navigating life in the village after discovering the truth about his mother, Emma Barton.

Bradley Reflects on His Journey

In September, Riches marked four months since his Emmerdale debut, reflecting on how far Lewis has come in a short time.

“He’s been through a LOT,” Riches wrote. “Met his half-brother, met his mum’s murderer, found out the truth about his mum, got his cannabis stolen, started working in the café, bought shares in the café — and so much more. But what’s to come…”

With new friendships forming and Kim Tate’s meddling still never far away, Lewis’s future in the village looks brighter — and more entertaining — than ever.
