Emmerdale Star Natalie Ann Jamieson Reveals Exciting New Career Move After Amy Barton’s Tragic Exit
Emmerdale favourite Natalie Ann Jamieson, best known for her role as Amy Wyatt, has announced her next big move following her heartbreaking soap exit earlier this year.
The actress, whose character met a tragic end in a devastating limo crash, is already diving into new creative ventures — both on stage and in business — proving she’s keeping her passion for performance and creativity very much alive.
From the Dales to the Stage
Nine months after Emmerdale viewers said an emotional goodbye to Amy Barton, Natalie is stepping back into the spotlight with a live theatre performance.
She’s set to appear in a staged reading of All of It by Alistair McDowall at The Tute Cambois in Northumberland on November 21, as part of the Rude Health Festival.
The charity behind the event shared the news on Instagram, writing:
“Thrilled to announce Natalie Ann Jamieson will star in All of It by Alistair McDowall at The Tute on the 21st November. You may know her from Emmerdale. This is a brilliant staged reading encompassing all of life, and we’ll be joined by playwright and director Maria Crocker for a post-show discussion. Free tickets are available.”
Fans quickly flooded the comments with excitement, with one writing, “Looks great!” and another adding, “Ticket sorted! See you there!”
Amy Barton’s Heartbreaking Goodbye
Natalie first joined Emmerdale in 2019 as Amy Wyatt, the biological daughter of Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) and mother to Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn), her son with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
Amy’s journey was filled with emotional highs and devastating lows — from rebuilding her relationship with Kerry to her marriage to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano). But her story came to a tragic end in February 2025, when she died from hypothermia following the catastrophic limo crash that also claimed the lives of Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough).
Last week’s Emmerdale episodes revealed the coroner’s findings, confirming that the deaths were ruled “accidental.”
Natalie’s New Creative Chapter
Beyond acting, Natalie has also launched her own T-shirt brand, By Nat Jam, showcasing her love for design and creativity.
Sharing the news on Instagram, she explained her inspiration:
“Why am I making tee’s? Well, lots of reasons — mostly for FUN! I can’t tell you how many conversations these tee’s sparked at Glasto. The fun we had wearing them, the fun we had making videos in them… I’m lucky enough to do something I love as an actor and I never want to let that go — so I’m taking it into all aspects of my life!”
Her vibrant designs have already gained attention online, blending her artistic flair with her infectious positivity.
What’s Next for Natalie Ann Jamieson?
With her theatre appearance just weeks away and her fashion venture thriving, Natalie is embracing a year of reinvention — and fans are thrilled to see her succeed beyond the Dales.
While her Emmerdale chapter may have closed, Natalie Ann Jamieson’s career is clearly only just beginning its next act.
