On the official Emmerdale Instagram page, a special birthday video featured cast favourites Olivia Bromley (Dawn Taylor) and Ned Porteous (Joe Tate) sending their best wishes.

Ned smiled as he said: “Happy Birthday Emmerdale! It’s your 53rd birthday. What a birthday, what a year, what a show. What a pleasure it is to be a part of you.”
Olivia added warmly: “I agree with everything he says… Happy Birthday Emmerdale!”
