Emmerdale Twist: Kev’s Endgame Crumbles as Robert and Aaron Plot His Final Fall
Kev Crosses the Line—And Drags Liam With Him
In a shocking twist that aired early via ITVX, Emmerdale has all but sealed Kev Townsend’s fate, as his obsession with Robert Sugden pushes him into criminal territory. Determined to prove himself worthy of a reunion with Robert, Kev fakes a medical emergency to manipulate Dr Liam Cavanagh, roping him into what turns out to be an armed robbery.

Liam, unaware of Kev’s true intentions, agrees to take him to hospital—but a phone call about a murder mystery event distracts him long enough for Kev to vanish into a pawn shop and re-emerge with a bag full of stolen money and jewellery, and a gun tucked in his pocket.
Kev’s reaction? Ecstatic. Liam’s? Horrified.

Liam Spirals, Charity Swoops
Back in the village, Liam’s anxiety skyrockets as Kev brazenly uses part of the stolen cash to pay rent to Charles Anderson, involving yet another innocent party in his scheme. Despite Liam’s pleas for reason, Kev remains laser-focused on impressing Robert—convinced that handing over £2,000 to Victoria Sugden will somehow rekindle what he once had.

When Charity Dingle catches Liam visibly distressed in the pub’s back room, he confesses everything. But in typical Charity fashion, she doesn’t offer comfort—she offers blackmail. She’ll keep her silence, but only if Liam agrees to become Mackenzie Boyd’s new best mate.
Now Liam is in deep—guilty, exploited, and stuck.
Robert Sees Through the Illusion
Meanwhile, across the village, Robert Sugden has a moment of clarity. After speaking with Kev, he pieces together the truth: the mysterious prison fund Kev often mentioned never existed. Worse still, Robert realises Kev staged the robbery, using deception and desperation to try and win him back.

He rushes to Mill Cottage to tell Aaron Dingle, and what happens next sets the tone for Kev’s downfall. Aaron, practical and protective, sees this as the opportunity they’ve been waiting for.
Robron Rises—But at a Cost
Aaron tells Robert that if they recover the stolen items and hand them over to the police, they’ll have solid evidence to put Kev away—permanently. But Robert hesitates. Despite everything, he still feels guilt over betraying a man who once stood by him behind bars.
Still, Aaron is clear: “This is how we get our future back.” With that, Robron is back in sync—focused on eliminating the toxic shadow Kev has cast over their lives.
