Emmerdale’s Jeff Hordley Reunites with Co-Stars for Heartfelt Charity Event Supporting Martin House Children’s Hospice
Emmerdale favourite Jeff Hordley, who has portrayed the tough yet loyal Cain Dingle since 2000, was recently spotted enjoying a rare night out with his co-stars — all in the name of charity.
A Night for a Worthy Cause
Jeff joined fellow cast members at a fundraising event in support of Martin House Children’s Hospice, a charity that provides essential care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
Actress Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield) shared photos from the evening on Instagram, writing: “Always a fabulous night supporting @martinhousech and this year was no exception. A room full of wonderful people raising money for such an important charity.”
The photos showed a warm, family-like atmosphere as the Emmerdale stars mingled and laughed together, highlighting the close-knit spirit of the cast away from the cameras.

Familiar Faces at the Table
Among those attending were Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle), Louise Jameson (Faith Dingle), and Zoe Henry, Jeff’s real-life wife who plays Rhona Goskirk on the ITV soap. The group posed together for cheerful snaps, clearly enjoying the opportunity to support a cause close to their hearts.
Fans were delighted to see Jeff looking relaxed and happy alongside his long-time co-stars, with many commenting on how the bond between the actors mirrors the deep connections of their on-screen family.
Jeff Hordley’s Enduring Emmerdale Legacy
Jeff first joined Emmerdale in 2000 as the fiery and unpredictable Cain Dingle. After leaving in 2006 to pursue other projects, he returned in 2009 — and has remained one of the show’s most compelling characters ever since.
Over the years, Cain has been central to some of the soap’s biggest and most emotional storylines, including discovering that Zak was his biological father, fathering a child with Charity Dingle, and more recently, supporting Moira (Natalie J. Robb) through her brain tumour diagnosis.
This past year has seen Cain endure tragedy after tragedy, from Moira’s near-death experience to the devastating murder of his son Nate Robinson, a storyline that pushed the hardened Dingle patriarch to the edge.

Away from the Cameras
Despite his on-screen intensity, Jeff Hordley is known for keeping his personal life private. Off-screen, he and wife Zoe Henry share a peaceful life away from the spotlight, balancing their acting careers with family and farming in the Yorkshire countryside.
This rare public appearance offered fans a glimpse of the actor’s gentler side — a devoted friend and husband using his platform for good.
