Michael Parr Breaks the Internet

Emmerdale actor Michael Parr, who plays the often dangerous and always compelling Ross Barton, took to social media after filming his Corriedale scene—and dropped a cryptic but thrilling comment about what fans can expect.

The actor is paired with Corrie legend Kate Ford, aka Tracy Barlow, in one of four scenes up for public vote. After soap expert Sharon Marshall posted the confirmed pairings, Michael responded:

“So gutted to miss you. All I can say is that the scene between Ross and Tracy is mouth-watering!!!”

The comment sent fans and press alike into a frenzy. Sharon added fuel to the fire on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

“Ooh… news alert if you’re not on Insta… @MikeParrActor just dropped a little clue to his Tracy Barlow crossover scene!”

Four Scenes, One Vote

While all four crossover scenes are being filmed, only one will air during the Corriedale special—and the final decision rests with fans. The confirmed options are:

  1. Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Carla Connor (Alison King)

  2. Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment)

  3. Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and Roy Cropper (David Neilson)

  4. Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford)

Voting will open early next year, just ahead of the January broadcast.

Fan Reactions: Bring On the Drama

Viewers are already obsessed with the idea of Ross and Tracy sharing screen time. “I cannot wait, this will be exciting,” one fan posted. Another added, “Even though she technically killed his dad first, when he was a proper Charlie…”

Many are begging ITV to release all four scenes online, regardless of which one airs in the special. “We need ALL these scenes after the episode. I don’t want to miss any of them!” one viewer wrote.

Are Ross and Tracy the chaos crossover we never knew we needed? Or will another duo steal the spotlight when the votes open? Either way, Corriedale is shaping up to be one of the biggest soap moments of the decade.
