Reflecting on Moira’s Journey

Robb reflected on her 16-year journey as Moira, who was introduced in 2009 as part of the Barton family taking over Butlers Farm. The actress opened up about how Moira would feel if she had to give up the farm, which has been central to her storyline.

“Of course she would miss it. My character’s been there now 16 years, and it would be very odd for it to be a change,” Natalie said. She added that such a storyline could bring clarity or new opportunities, allowing Moira to receive help or devise a plan. Robb also admitted personally enjoying the set: “It’s a really good set to work on as well, so I would personally miss it.”

Celebrating with Co-Stars

The birthday celebration saw a glamorous gathering of Emmerdale stars. Natalie shared her joy at being part of the evening, highlighting the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues. She wrote:

“70th Birthday! What a beautiful night last night at London’s Guildhall, such an honour to have shared this momentous night with such a lovely group of people—a massive trip down memory lane for me—seeing old faces who I’ve had the luxury of working with over many, many years of ITV.”

Other cast members shared their excitement online. Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle Dingle) commented: “Gorgis!!” while Beth Cordingly wrote: “Stunning all of you.” The gathering celebrated both ITV’s milestone and the enduring appeal of its flagship soaps.

Embarrassment Over Early Emmerdale Scenes

Away from celebrations, Robb recently opened up about her early Emmerdale scenes, particularly the romantic moments with Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle). She admitted she now finds them embarrassing:

“The first kissy-wissy scenes, the romantic scenes, I couldn’t even watch it now, it makes me go red. It’s quite raunchy! And for its time, you just think, ‘Oh my goodness.’”

She laughed off the memory, adding: “Somebody sent me it a few years ago and I got really embarrassed and had to turn it off. I literally blushed. I suppose when you see it on screen it doesn’t feel like that when you’re doing it. No offence Jeff!”
