Emmerdale has seen Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) make a life-changing decision as he struggles to protect his marriage to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham).

Viewers know Vinny has been the victim of Graham Connelly (Connor Byrne), a manipulative con artist who preyed on Vinny’s doubts about his sexuality. Masquerading online as “Mike,” Graham tricked Vinny into an emotional connection before demanding money in exchange for silence.

Despite reporting Graham to the police, Vinny has remained terrified that Gabby will discover the truth. The newlyweds are preparing to adopt Gabby’s son Thomas — and Vinny is desperate not to jeopardize their family future.

Gabby Almost Finds Out

In the latest episodes, Vinny learned that Graham’s defence team planned to call Gabby as a witness. Fearing the tactic would expose everything, he insisted: “The one thing I wanted was to keep Gabby out of this. She can’t find out.”

Though his friend Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) urged him to be honest and testify, Vinny panicked when Gabby stumbled across his hidden court summons. Caught off guard, he lied, telling her he and Graham had once been friends before things “flipped out.”

Gabby appeared supportive, offering to accompany him to court, but Vinny brushed her off — still intent on keeping her in the dark.

Backing Out — and Back In

Confiding in Kammy, Vinny admitted: “I can’t just face my fears… it’s my life being blown up. I can’t risk it. I don’t wanna do it. End of.”

He then called the prosecutor to withdraw from the case, determined to prioritise his marriage over justice.

But upcoming spoilers confirm that Vinny will change his mind once again, deciding to testify against Graham after all.
