Exit Story for EastEnders’ Ravi and Avani: Trouble, Turmoil, and a Desperate Escape
Ravi’s Criminal Empire Crumbles
Things are going from bad to worse for Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) in EastEnders, as his dangerous slide into the criminal underworld finally catches up with him. What started as a desperate attempt to recover from financial ruin has now spiraled into chaos, betrayal, and violence — leaving both Ravi and his daughter Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) in grave danger.
After Bernie Taylor drained his family’s business accounts before vanishing from Albert Square, Ravi was left scrambling for cash. Turning to Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) for help, he found himself introduced to high-level drug contacts — and despite her warnings, Ravi dove headfirst into the business, setting up a new operation with right-hand man Okie Okyere (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu).
But the venture has been anything but smooth.
Betrayal, Violence, and Revenge
When their base of operations was raided, Ravi moved the dealing to Kojo Asare’s flat, forcing Okie to take control while using Kojo’s home as cover. This reckless move made him a target, not just of the police but of George Knight (Colin Salmon), who saw the damage Ravi was doing to his friend’s family.
After a rival gang broke in and brutally attacked Okie, tensions exploded. Ravi, always one to retaliate, decided to take matters into his own hands — trapping Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) in a lock-up and demanding information about secret footage that could expose him.
Meanwhile, Nicola urged Ravi to release Harry before things got even worse, but the damage was done. Rival dealers were now circling, and Ravi’s empire was crumbling faster than he could contain it.
A Desperate Escape Plan
Next week, the situation reaches boiling point. Ravi learns that the rival gang he crossed is out for blood — and they’re not just coming for him, but for everyone connected to him. For the first time in a long while, the fearless gangster feels fear himself.
With his “fight or flight” instincts kicking in, Ravi makes a shocking decision: he plans to flee Walford.
In a rare moment of vulnerability, he tells Avani that they’re taking a “holiday” — but it’s clear that this is no vacation. Ravi is running, not just from his enemies but from the wreckage of his own choices.
Avani’s Heart-Wrenching Choice
For Avani, the decision isn’t easy. Having already endured her father’s shady dealings and emotional distance, she faces the impossible question: follow her dad into exile or stay behind in Walford and face the fallout?
As their bond is tested like never before, EastEnders is setting up an emotional exit for both characters — one filled with fear, heartbreak, and unanswered questions.
Will Ravi manage to escape the deadly consequences of his criminal empire? Or will his past catch up to him before he can get his daughter to safety?
What Awaits Their Return?
Even if Ravi and Avani do manage to leave Walford alive, the question remains — what will they come back to?
With enemies closing in, alliances shattered, and his reputation in tatters, Ravi’s decision to flee could mark the end of his reign in Albert Square… and perhaps the beginning of a new one elsewhere.
