Former Emmerdale Star Daisy Campbell Reinvents Herself With Bold Career Move
Amelia Spencer’s Emotional Exit
Daisy Campbell, best known to Emmerdale fans as Amelia Spencer, has taken a surprising turn in her career after leaving the soap earlier this year. For more than a decade, Daisy was a familiar face in the fictional Yorkshire village, joining the cast as a child and growing up on-screen.
In October last year, the actress revealed that Amelia’s story had reached its conclusion after 13 years. The decision, however, wasn’t hers to make. Daisy admitted that the news of her character being axed came as a shock and left her with a lot to process.
“Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known,” she explained. “It felt daunting at first, but once the team explained their reasons, I understood. Amelia didn’t have family connections left in the village, so her story couldn’t move forward.”
A New Chapter Beyond Acting
Despite the heartbreak of leaving the show that shaped her childhood, Daisy hasn’t let the setback define her. Instead, she has embraced a new path. The 22-year-old has officially launched her very own business — and it’s worlds away from the world of soaps.
Last month, Daisy announced on Instagram that she was opening a Pilates studio in Pontefract. Sharing photos of teaser posters with “Coming Soon” printed across them, she wrote a heartfelt caption celebrating the achievement:
“This has been the hardest secret to keep. I’ve pushed myself in ways I never imagined, and I’m so proud of what I’ve built.”
Building Dreams, Brick by Brick
Daisy’s new venture, That Pilates Place, is more than just a business. It’s a personal mission. After completing her Level 3 mat and reformer Pilates course earlier this year, she felt inspired to create a supportive fitness community.
The project became even more special thanks to help from her 80-year-old grandfather. Together, the pair spent eight weeks transforming an old crown court building into Pontefract’s first reformer Pilates studio. Daisy proudly shared that every detail was crafted with care, making the space feel both unique and personal.
Support From Soap Family and Fans
The announcement sparked excitement among fans and former co-stars alike. Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle Dingle) gushed, “No stop I’m obsessed.” Roxy Shahidi (Leyla Harding) praised Daisy’s determination, while Rosie Bentham (Gabby Thomas) and Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield) also chimed in with words of encouragement.
Fans flooded her social media with congratulations, applauding Daisy for stepping into her “businesswoman era” with such confidence.
From Soap Star to Entrepreneur
While Daisy may have closed the chapter on Amelia Spencer, she’s written a bold new beginning for herself. By combining her passion for fitness with her drive to help others, she’s proving that life after soap stardom can open exciting doors.
With her studio officially open, Daisy’s journey serves as an inspiring reminder that endings can lead to empowering new beginnings. As she builds her Pilates community, one thing is clear: this former soap star is just getting started.
