The 31-year-old actor, who played Jay Brown for nearly two decades, was enjoying an evening in London’s Mayfair with girlfriend Georgina Shave when his Mercedes convertible suddenly conked out. What should have been a romantic dinner ended with hazard lights flashing, a tow truck on the scene, and a very public trip home — on separate rides.
According to onlookers, Jamie appeared “gutted” as the luxury vehicle failed to start. Ever the gentleman, he left a handwritten note on the windscreen reading “Apologies, broken down” to ward off parking wardens before calling the AA for help.
A Date Night Derailed
Photos captured the star standing beside his stranded Mercedes as an AA first responder checked over the engine. Despite the setback, Georgina was quick to comfort him, sharing a kiss on the street before heading off.
A source told The Sun: “Jamie was gutted. Georgina cheered him up with a smooch. He looked grateful she was there — but you could tell it had ruined the night.”
After the tow truck arrived to remove the car, Jamie hitched a lift home with the driver while Georgina was left to take the bus home alone — a less-than-glamorous ending to what had started as a cozy date in the capital.
