Home and Away Fans Heartbroken as Juliet Godwin Bids Farewell After Three Years

It’s the end of an era in Summer Bay. Juliet Godwin, who brought compassion and quiet strength to Dr Bree Cameron, has officially said goodbye to Home and Away after three years on the hit Australian soap.

The 31-year-old actress appeared in her final scenes on Thursday, leaving fans emotional as she shared a heartfelt farewell message from the very beach that became her on-screen home.

'G'Day, last day for me, on the beach! I want to say thanks to Palm Beach and Summer Bay and everyone involved for making my time so wonderful,' Juliet began

Juliet’s Emotional Farewell from Palm Beach

Taking to Instagram, Juliet recorded a short but touching video to mark her final day on set.

“G’day, last day for me, on the beach! I want to say thanks to Palm Beach and Summer Bay and everyone involved for making my time so wonderful,” she said, smiling through the bittersweet goodbye.

She ended her message with a lighthearted nod to her fans:

“You guys are gonna miss my face on the screen.”

The post also included a nostalgic montage of Bree’s standout moments — from her early days as the calm, dedicated doctor to her gripping storylines that explored trauma, love, and recovery.

Tribute to Her Co-Stars — Especially Adam Rowland

Juliet didn’t leave without paying special tribute to her on-screen love interest, Adam Rowland, who plays Remi Carter. Their pairing, affectionately nicknamed “Bremi” by fans, became one of the show’s most beloved relationships.

“So many good memories on the grassy knoll of wisdom, with me obvs telling you to focus,” Juliet wrote. “Thank you, Adsy — best, kindest, funniest (or should I say punniest) scene partner an actor could ask for. Bremi rocks! Miss ya, Adsy.

Fans React: “It Won’t Be the Same Without Her”

The comments on Juliet’s post quickly filled with emotional tributes from both fans and co-stars.

“We miss you dearly, Dr Bree,” wrote actor Ryan Bown, who plays police officer Remy’s friend.

“All the best. You are so graceful on screen, you will go on to do great things,” another fan commented.

“I was crying. Will miss you Bree,” added a third.

Juliet’s calm and empathetic portrayal of Bree — particularly during her domestic abuse storyline — earned her widespread praise and solidified her as a fan favourite since joining the soap in 2022.

A Bright Future Beyond Summer Bay

While her departure marks the end of Bree’s journey, Juliet’s real life is beginning a joyful new chapter. Just days before her final episode aired, she announced her engagement to longtime partner Sam Masters.

Sharing a photo from a South African beach, she captioned the post:

“October you were good to us. Here’s to forever, baby.”

Her Home and Away co-stars and fans flooded the comments with congratulations and warm wishes.

From The Heights to Home and Away

Before joining Home and Away, Juliet had a small role as Cara in ABC’s drama The Heights (2020). But it was her breakout as Dr Bree Cameron that made her a household name.

Speaking in an earlier interview, the Zimbabwe-born actress called the role “a dream come true.”

“That I’m able to wake up and go to set every day and do what I love is such a gift,” she said.

What’s Next for Bree — and Juliet

While the show hasn’t confirmed whether Bree’s exit is permanent, fans are already calling for a future return. For now, Juliet is taking time to celebrate her engagement and look ahead to new creative projects beyond Summer Bay.

One thing is certain — Home and Away won’t be the same without Dr Bree Cameron’s quiet strength and steady heart.
