Home and Away reveals Tane’s dramatic rescue after shock train crash
The aftermath of Home and Away’s explosive train crash will see Tane Parata’s dramatic rescue operation play out. This year is set to see several huge storylines hit our screens, including the twists and turns of the train crash, which aired in Australia in November as part of their season finale.
Multiple lives were left hanging in the balance after a train heading to the Off the Rails music festival in Broken Hill derailed in a tunnel.
A promo trailer for the show’s return to Australian screens next week teased that rescue operations are underway to save those trapped in the wreckage.
Tane is seen at the scene defying Sergeant David Langham’s orders as he heads into the tunnel to rescue those who are trapped.

TV Week shared a glimpse into what fans can expect following the crash, sharing that several characters will wake up in the smoke, and the gravity of what has happened will dawn on them.
The publication reports that Tane and Levi Fowler sneak onto the train, despite Sergeant Langham stressing how dangerous the site is.
They come across Justin Morgan, unable to move, but he is eventually rescued by first responders, followed by Sonny Baldwin, who says he cannot feel his legs.
Tane and Levi make their way through the train, making their way to Jo Langham, Tane’s love interest, who recently called off their budding romance.

Debris begins to fall from the ceiling, putting everyone on board in further danger, but Tane is determined to get Jo out safely.
Jo’s ex boyfriend, Eddie Shepherd, flees the train – despite his feelings for her. But Tane uses every ounce of his strength to drag her out of the wreckage.
Once they’re out in the open, however, her condition quickly deteriorates as she falls in and out of consciousness and into cardiac arrest. Will she survive her ordeal, and who else will make it out alive?
