For months, the vile bully has isolated his victim from his nearest and dearest, such as undertaker George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), his close friend and ex Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and the closest thing Todd has to a daughter, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby).
But that all changed this week. The raging narcissist finally overplayed his hands when he literally led a blind-folded Todd down the aisle into a forced wedding, witnessed by Theo’s friend Gary Windass (Mikey North) and his partner Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon). This rang huge alarm bells for George, who’s a mentor and a father figure to Todd, yet wasn’t even invited to this shotgun wedding.
Those alarm bells only sounded louder when George ended up using the bathroom in Todd’s flat… only to receive a barrage of abuse through the door from Theo, who thought he was talking to Todd.

Based on next week’s spoilers, it seems this plan is destined for success.
When Sarah is brought up to speed by George and Summer, she shares her concerns for Todd’s safety with Gary. While Gary is initially sceptical that Theo is abusing Todd, Sarah outlines all the warning signs throughout their entire relationship history, which finally opens Gary’s eyes to the truth.
This results in a fuming Gary giving Theo his marching orders at the builder’s yard and firing him on the spot.
With no job and his fake nice guy reputation in tatters, Theo is seemingly defeated. There’s no reason for him to stick around on Coronation Street anymore. That spells bad news for Todd, because his Hubby from Hell has one last card to play…
Fans may remember that Theo recently told Todd that he was thinking of accepting a job in Belfast.
With actor James Cartwright’s exit already announced, the villain is not long for the world of Weatherfield. But if it’s one thing we’ve learned about Theo, it’s that he won’t let Todd escape without a fight. Upcoming scenes of Coronation will see the pressure of being Public Enemy Number One finally break the sinister scaffolder, when he plans to flee the Cobbles and take Todd with him.

When Sarah calls at the flat and pleads with Todd to let her in, Todd makes sure Theo has left before covering the doorbell camera and reluctantly letting her inside. Worried, Sarah quizzes Todd about why he is not replying to George’s messages urging him to get in touch. Before Todd can answer, they hear Theo returning. What will they do?
Later, Sarah reports back to Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) and Summer to share her concerns.
Meanwhile, Gary orders Theo to pick up the rest of his tools and get lost forever. Theo’s not going to take this well…
On Gary’s advice, Sarah meets up with Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson), Theo’s ex-wife, in the Bistro and asks her if Theo was ever violent towards her. Will Danielle say enough to bring Theo down?
But Sarah’s conversation with Danielle is interrupted when an incandescent Theo catches them talking. This won’t end well…
Sure enough, Theo returns home later and, pulling Todd in for a kiss, tells him that his contract has come through – so they’re moving to Belfast on Monday. Todd forces a smile. Will Theo trap him forever?
